Talking about rain and floods in Europe I was just on the Main Roads Western Australia site and the road to the south of where I live, about 12 km away, is blocked by flooding. https://www.facebook.com/9NewsPerth/videos/329620772183143

Status: South Western Hwy at Swamp Rd, Benger – Flooding
Exercise Extreme Caution. There will be more rain this week as well.

Status: I was just at Benger. There is a dip in the road just before the service station with a creek, which is high, running through a culvert under the road, but no obvious signs of flooding; there has been certainly no water flowing across the South West Hwy.
